Press for Just Three Guys
Excerpt from an article entitled "Red Heart" on page 63 of the March 06, 2006 issue of Thunder Press
Red Nation MC had not just one but two live bands. The first band was the Jon Tilton band and was really hot. Rock and blues just flowed out of these guys.
The second band was more remarkable however. They were called "Just 3 Guys" and played tunes from Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Green Day.
They also write their own songs. Being a three piece band with a lead guitar, bass and drums, all of the members are working over time. The phenomenal lead guitarist is Vinny Beyer.
Although they played two encores their vocals suffer a little bit as their voices are going through puberty. Beyer is the oldest at 13, His brother, Stan, The bass player, is 12 and the drummer, Matt is also 13!
They are going into the studio shortly to put together a demo CD. I was 12 when i was in my first band too, but it didnt sound like this one. Good luck guys

Motivated by their music and the desire to help others, Just 3 Guys, a punk/rock/blues band from Oakland with members ranging in age from 12-13 is hosting a benefit concert at Washington Manor Middle School in San Leandro. Proceeds from the event will support the music programs at the school.
Just 3 Guys is led by guitarist/vocalist Vinny Beyer (13), his little brother Stan (12) plays bass guitar and Matt Stange (13) plays drums. Band Bio Short & sweet - they've been working on the project for the last two years, and just added Stange on the drums two months ago. Though the event is a fundraiser for the schools, the Beyer brothers are actually home-schooled and spend the greater part of every day honing their musical skills and learning the fundamentals of the music business, a career they both aspire towards. Recently, they have connected with the Oakland based non-profit Youth Movement Records, who will be launching their rock n' roll branch this winter. The guys will get an opportunity to record, perform, learn the fundamentals of marketing, budgeting and promotion through their involvement with YMR. "Everybody at YMR is really excited about the addition of Just 3 Guys...The Hip Hop artists are very eager to bring live instrumentation to the group," says, YMR's Executive Director.
The benefit will launch this Thursday with a sneak preview event at Washington Manor Middle School in San Leandro at 11:15 am. Just 3 Guys will perform for the students and to promote the main event, to take place on Friday, January 20th.
"We play music for the feeling you get when you finish a song and the crowd goes wild. You never get tired of that!" says Vinny Beyer. They really do love to play, as it's not uncommon to find at least 2 of the 3 Guys playing for tips at Bart stations on any given day. They also play a regular gig at Café 380 in Jack London Square every Saturday night from 7-11pm.
